Radeon R9 290x Crashes my computer. Please help.

So I got a gaming computer a couple of years ago everything works, surfing the web, watching videos. However, when it comes to playing games, the computer screen goes black and crashes. I've tried fixing it but nothing seems to work. I'm assuming it's the GPU since when I installed the drivers it gave me an error, partially installed error. Any idea what problem could be?

Do a clean uninstall using the AMD Cleanup utility and Display Driver Uninstaller, then download and install the latest driver 17.9.3
