Radeon R90X vs. Nvidia 980ti

I already know that I would prefer the Gigabyte G1 980ti but theres alsos some solid reasons why I would want the MSI R9 390X. Please, (also provide sources and evidence) which card i should get? The GTX 980 Ti is the clear winner in terms of performance. However, it's hard to make a recommendation when you say you also have reasons for choosing the 290X without giving us any of them. All else being equal, go with the 980 Ti, but if (for instance) you are getting the 290X for $50, I'd grab that instead, or maybe in addition.

Also, for future reference, try to avoid using sites like GPU Boss. They are good for quickly checking some specs, but their comparisons are usually incomplete or invalid.
