radeon rx 480 to benq xl2411z monitor

Hey i got my brand new graphics card radeon rx 480 and i have 144hz monitor (benq xl2411z) and im still searching the solution to get 144hz without any problems. I bought hdmi dvi-d cable and it is giving me 144hz fine but there is coming error message in bottom right corner of my monitor "Incorrect cable. Please use the DVI dual-link cable that came with your monitor". How do i get 144hz and no messages in my screen ?

Why aren't you using HDMI directly instead of the HDMI to DVI adapter?
