Radeon X800 with Windows 7

Sorry, I am not super knowledgeable. According to Microsofts website the X800 is compatible with Win 7 (64 bit if that matters). Although I know ATI/AMD does not officially support it I've heard people say that the Vista 64 drivers work. I tried downloading the AMD catalyst software but he X800 still crashes my system within minutes. I'm not sure what Im doing wrong. Has anyone ever gotten an X800 to work with 7?

Try using the generic drivers that came with windows.

Unfortunately that doesnt work either.
