Radeon2 and 800Mhz Athlon

I see people saying thay buyign GeForce3 on P2 400Mhz system won't make any sense bacause CPU sucks. Will buying Radeon2 (when it comes out) for faster perfromace make an sense with 800Mhz Athlon? (200fsb, ASUS A7V and 448Mb of pc133)?

i agree... my 550 takes full advantage of geforce 2... well almost... radeon 2 should be good on anything above 600 i would think... gona be a great card...

you do not strengthen the weak by weakening the strong

Depends on the game to some extent - UT is more CPU dependent, other games are more limited by your graphics card.

If the games utilised the T&L engine to its full potential, then having a GF3 with a P2-400 would've made pretty good sense.
