Radiator on top of another?

Is it ok to put a radiator on top of another or is that just going to degrade thermal performance?

In particular an EVGA 980 ti hybrid cooler on top of a h80i

That had been done in the past with custom loops and seemed to be less effective than two separated radiators. It does work though. IMO, outside of space constraints, there's no legitimate reason to use that configuration. In your instance, I would really look to two different mounting points
