I have a Corsair liquid CPU cooler. I know that usually when you shut a computer down, the fans are supposed to keep going so the CPU doesn't heat up real fast. This doesn't seem to happen with my liquid cooler. I have it connected to the CPU cooler socket of my mobo. The other fans in my PC don't keep going either but that's because I have them connected to the manual case controls that I keep on high. Should my rad keep going after shutdown?

Solution
None of my fans keep going after I shut down my PC.
No power means no power for fans too.
Where did you get the idea that "fans are supposed to keep going"?
You wrote, "Should my rad keep going after shutdown?".

I think you mean the PUMP is running after shutdown.

There are many different Corsair models and you don't post your specs. It is hard to ascertain if you followed the installation instructions.

There may be an integrated fan hub and Corsair Link software, an SATA power connector, and a pump sensor cable. The sensor cable may relay pump RPM information to both the BIOS and to the Corsair Link.

Without knowing your specs, I really don't know what model you are trying to fix.

cant say i have ever seen a mechanical car radiator fan
