Raedeon HD 5450 card BARLEY doing the job help please!

I have a dell studio xps with a Raedeon HD 5450 card thats BARELY doing the job.I would like to upgrade the card for gaming. My display recommended resolution is 1920 x1080.Also if I upgraded the card would I have to change anything else? I did I performance check on pc everything was rated over 7 except for this is a 4.9. I really need to stay under the 250.00 price range.

if the dell is using a standard height video card and is the newer pci-x slotted video card and not pci/agp. then all you have to do is replace the power supply if it one of those 400w unit. right now the 7850 and 7790 cards on parts picker are around 100.00 also the 650 ti boost cards. also vendors are trying to blow out the older non r line of amd cards.

Most likely you will need to upgrade the PSU aswell.
