OK, I bought a new setup.
ASUS TUF Gaming X570-PRO (WiFi 6)
AMD Ryzen 7 5800
Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB DDR 4
Thermaltake Smart Pro RGB 850W 80+ PS
I bought a Sapphire RT 6700 XT video card and the white led light stays on (on the motherboard). No fans, no video.
Just to test, I took my Sapphire RX 580 out of my other PC and plugged it in and it works perfectly. Video, boot... everything.
I figured it was a bad card so I returned it and bought another card... ugh same result.
I bought another card a Gigabye Rt 6700 XT and also the SAME RESULT!!!
I plugged all 3 cards into my ASUS 450 comptuer and they do not work... none...
I have updated the BIOS on the TUF gaming... I have unplugged just about everything and still the same result. The MB is straight out of the box as far as settings go.
WHY WON'T THIS WORK????
Only thing I can come up with is the PS, but the cards do not work in my other PC's.
The manual on the ASUS motherboard suggested a 1000w or higher card for certain setups (higher end cards)... could this be the problem? Nothing against the 6700 but I don't consider this a high end card... The manual on the card suggests a 650w PS or higher... ????
Ideas? Anyone?
I simply cannot imagine I got 3 bad cards in a row....
