I am a novice at computors so bare with me please. What I have is a etower 400id with Intel Celeron Processor 400 MHz, and with that is, ATI 3D Rage Pro Turbo 2X Graphics with 4MB SGRAM. But 4MB is not enough, I need at least 8MB. So I purchased the Radeon 7500 64MB (PCI BUS). Followed the instructions word for word but what I got was, less color and less resolution. So I put it all back to original and came here. What did I do wrong?

You need to install new drivers for the card. If your new card did not come with a driver CD then got to ATi and get the correct drivers. What's happening is windows does not know what drivers to use for the card so it is using generic drivers. Once the drivers are installed you can adjust your resolution to whatever you want.

If it isn't a P6 then it isn't a procesor

Thanks piii_MAN. The CD did come with the card. After reading your reply, I suspect that I did not load it right. I also suspect that ATI may have put the wrong manual in the box with the card and CD. There is no mention whatsoever of the 7500 or PCI (except for an illusrtion show the difference between the PCI slot and the APG slot ,which my computor doesnt have) but it says alot about 9500/9700 and 9800 cards. Will attempt it again.
