Hi, I want to do RAID 0 with 2 1TB disk drives, which hard disk should I use?

WD, Seagate, or maybe something else? I have $ 200 on 2 discs. I care about the speed and stability.

I was looking for something and found a Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 64MB SATAIII 7200
What do you think about this?

Hey pr0fil. If you decide to go with WD HDDs, then I'd recommend the WD Red drives. The WD Black drive is indeed a high quality drive with high performance and designed for gaming and demanding software, but when it comes to NAS/RAID environment, then out of the WD drives the choice is WD Red hands down. It is specifically designed for NAS systems and PCs with RAID. It runs very quiet and it has enhanced reliability:
With a 35% MTBF improvement over standard drives, the WD Red drive with NASware 3.0 is designed for the 24x7 environment.
It comes with a 3-year limited warranty and 24x7 support services specifically dedicated to WD Red drives.
Here you can take a closer look at its features: WD Red drive

Hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions.
