I'm new to actually posting in the forums, and I don't know what information is necessary to answer my question, so I'm just going to be thorough -
about 6 months ago, I built a PC with a 120 gig SSD and a terabyte hard drive. the SSD has 64 bit windows 8.1 installed to it, and both drives have data stored on them.
I recently bought another SSD with hope to use both SSDs in RAID 0, however after about an hour of googling, after visiting a variety of sites, I have found nothing that I can really understand or trust to do what I want.
I have a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 revision 3.0 motherboard, with an AMD FX-8350 processor. Gigabyte says the motherboard is raid compatible, so I would imagine it's possible to get it working.
So if it is possible, could someone walk me through raid 0-ing the SSDs together? and if possible, could I do so without erasing any data existing on my drives? I don't mind losing anything if it's absolutely necessary, but I would rather not go through the hassle of reinstalling everything.
Thanks in advance.
