Hello,
I am a video editor and I have a MSI Z68ma-ED55 (b3) motherboard w/ 16gb RAM.
It has two SATA-3 and four SATA-2 ports. Running Windows 7 premium.
Currently, I have a WD Raptor for my OS/application drive and, a RAID-0 with 3 generic 320gb 7200rmp SATAII on a RocketRaid 2300.

I want to upgrade my Drives with one SSD for OS/applications and two WD Caviar (2 or 3 TB) in RAID-0.

Question:
Given that the RR2300 is a PCIe 1x 1.0 (250mb/s) Should I stay with the RR2300 or can my Motherboard RAID 0 work just as well or better?

Should I suck it up and get a better RAID controller?
Suggestions?

Motherbd raid0 should work just fine for you.
I have 4 raid0's running on mine and I edit videos too. Single drives weren't giving me peak performance and ssd's were still crazy expensive back then...
