Question Raid 1 boot drives and dynamic disks

Good Evening, All.

I want to set up a Raid 1 for my OS&Pgms SSD's.

I have found online tutorials to do so....but...they all seem to change the drives to dynamic.

What is the downside to converting to dynamic drives in this configuration?

Because I have had TWO hardware failures of my OS&Pgms SSD in the last 6 months. (One due to a leaking AIO and one due to a failing PSU) My contract work is time crucial and it cost me money both times....despite a rigorous back-up regime.

I am well aware I am only protecting against hardware failures, not virii or malware or stupid user deletions.....but it is hardware failures I want protection against.

Can't anyone tell me what, if any, downsides there are to converting my boot drive(s) to dynamic drives???
