raid 10 hdd + ssd?

RAID 10 2 SSD and 2 HDD? Can it work? How? What will I gain and lose?

What is the reason for wanting to do this? In general, RAID as a concept really only needs to be done with very limited use cases.

Yes, but I was talking about using the HDD in RAID to backup the SSD's in case of crash so I wouldn't lose my files.

Yes, but I was talking about using the HDD in RAID to backup the SSD's in case of crash so I wouldn't lose my files.

The SSD's in a RAID 0 (mostly useless)
The HDD's in a RAID 0

The two arrays mirrored. RAID 1.

The RAID 0 SSD array on its own will operate no faster than a single SSD of similar size.
The SSD RAID 0 array mirrored to the HD RAID 0 array will have to operate at the slower speed of the HDD array.

Where did you find info that this is a good idea?
There are MUCH better ways of backups and data protection. Unless you are running some sort of 24/7 webstore, in which case downtime = money. In which case you should be hosting thins somewhere that has an actual uptime guarantee.
