Im looking to build a new computer and decided to look into Raid. I looked at all the Different types and decided i was going to choose RAID 1. I decided to go for the Western Digital WD10EZEX and have two working together. Firstly as my Motherboard only has one 6GB/s Port would I be able to use the 3GB/s i know the answer will probably be yes but i just want to check. Secondly if one of the drives were to fail would the other carry on running until i get a replacement or would i need to reformat. The reason i decided to choose Raid 1 was because i don't need the fastest computer as my previous previous was an Intel Core 2 Duo E6550, However i might invest in an SSD for the boot drive.
