ASUS_P8Z77-V LE PLUS: Bought 2 of these from China or somewhere. ASUS website shows W10 64bit drivers etc. I do not set up MB w/o RAID 1. Where are RAID drivers located that are needed to be loaded as you install the operating system.

You'll find them on Intel's site. You should be able to configure the RAID in the BIOS and W10 should already include the required drivers. You may still want to install https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/55005/Intel-Rapid-Storage-Technology-Intel-RST- to monitor your RAID.

Asus lists:
Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver software V11.5.0.1207 for Windows Win8 64bit---(WHQL).
Make Intel AHCI/RAID Driver Disk for XP 32bit & XP 64bit & Win7 32bit & Win7 64bit.
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LE_PLUS/HelpDesk_Download/

Intel Rapid Storage Technology (Intel RST) Driver (15.8.1.1007) is for newer motherboards.
You might want to read the files from Intel for the correct driver.

thanks,
I am an engineer...64 years young. Just build as I need to stay up with tech...... but always use RAID 1.
Here's a thought for you guys.....
RAID 1 is 2 hard drives mirrored.....
Install a 3rd, then monthly swap cables and let the RAID rebuild.
That is one sure way to defeat any ransom or malware that seizes control.
When attack occurs, disconnect the 2 current, go back to 3rd drive backup. At least your back to the latest swap.

However, built the wife a n ASROCK with the M.2 SSD. Problem is those solid states are limited in number of connect events.

as soon as boards arrive...I'll try it.

oh the other thing I do is buy spare MBs, then if 1 dies you just swap.....remember I be old....had a MB die years ago and could not find replacement....before days of widespread internet.....

probably now-a-days reliability is much higher as well as being able to locate another..... results in overkill
