RAID Qs about AsMedia/Intel controllers.No idea-:(

Hey guys, I need to RAID 10 a few hard drives, 4x 2TB to be exact. My board is the Asrock Z77 extreme 6. 2 of them are intel, 2 of them are asmedia. Will this work or will speeds be screwd up? Or do I need to buy a raid card or something

The mobo supports RAID 10, so no extra RAID card is required. But you should always RAID with identical drives. Theoretically they could work, but I would expect headaches down the line (RAID rebuilds, crashes, etc).
