I am really new in the raid world. Indeed I don't even know what raid means or how it works. I just bought an epox 8k3a+ that comes with the raid. Do you need a special tipe of drive to work with raid? Actualy I have a Maxtor Dimondmax UA133 40.0 GB and an old 1GB hard drive that I only use to file internet archives. Now, can I concect the maxtor to the raid or do I have to have two hd..? How does the raid work? Is there any website that I can go to so I can lern how the thing work? Please help me as I am new to this world of raid the only thing I think I understood is that the raid should work faster than the normal IDE, am I correct? Thanks

IN order for RAID to work properly you need two identicle drives. You can still use the RAID controller as a standard Non-RAID IDE controller if you wish.

What's the frequency, Kenneth?
