Raid questions-help please

ok, i have currently a samsung 840 series 250gb ssd, and a sandisk 128gb. i plan on the holidays going and buying a second samsung drive (exact same) is it worth the time raiding it if im gunna load everything (except os, drivers, and stem/origin) from them. also am i able to obtain a 128gb crucial m4, and raid it with the sandisk ssd? just curious

In a desktop environment, RAID usually needless. With SSD's, even more so. You're adding complexity and fail points for no real performance gain.

I'm curious as to why you would buy an SSD and NOT load the stuff on it that could benefit from its speed?

ok. i wanted to raid the 2 256gb ssds for faster games, yet still have 1 128gb ssd for os, and other programs. but i wanted to know if the 2 256gb ssd raid 0 is worth it, or using raid 1. but i wanted to get a crucial m4 128gb ssd for to go with the sandisk one

Games won't play/perform any better, only their load levels will improve. I would think a single SSD would be more than enough to increase game load times.

Neither. Just the SSD's will be more than enough.
