I have created a raid 1 array with 2 SSDs (OCZ vector and ADATA sx900 both 128 gb). This has been done with my onboard raid controller (using amd sb950 on my mobo). My OS runs on the RAID drives.
The raid seemed to be sable and functional. I had shut down and unplugged my computer to move it and when I restarted it, my raid was in critical condition. The OCZ drive showed "disconned or defective".
I installed RaidXpert and the drive health on both my SSDs was good (although the OCZ drive does not have SMART capabilites).
Whenever I try to rebuild my SSD raid using raidxpert, the rebuild process fails around 30% due to an error. I looked at the windows error log and I'm constantly getting this string of errors:
Error 2015-01-25 15:21 AMD RAID API 525 Rebuild on logical drive "SSDraid" aborted at 33% because of error
Warning 2015-01-25 15:21 AMD RAID API 259 Task e7 timeout on port 1 target 1 at LBA 0x00 (Length 0x0)
Warning 2015-01-25 15:21 AMD RAID API 257 Port 1 target 1 unplugged
Warning 2015-01-25 15:16 disk 157 Disk 2 has been surprise removed.
What is causing this?
