Question RAID: Replacement for MBs with Intel chipsets

Hello all,

Currently I have 2 PCs with MBs containing H370M chipset and integrating 4 SATA HDDs under RAID 10. I was planning to buy a pair of extra MBs with H370 to allow access my data in case of hardware failures in my MBs, however MBs with H370 have been decommissioned (as said by vendors I've contacted), so I have to look for alternatives.

After some search, I see that the new Z370/Z390 would have the same RAID support, while RAID in B36x lacks SATA support.

I believe that any of these MBs with Intel chipset would be compatible with the RAID support in H370s, but I'm sure wether these MBs will restore my RAID config properly or not (this is why I was aiming for H370s).

The point is: does any MB with Intel chipset with RAID 10 support would do the job?

Cheers,

The only safe way to do this is with a full backup of your data.
Then, build whatever new system and drives, and recover the data back to this new configuration.

Even if you were doing this with a 100% identical motherboard.
