Hi All, Happy New Year!

I know this might be a stupid question but I wanted to double check.

A RAID compatible SATA port on a motherboard would also be AHCI compatible yes? Basically I wanted to check I was understanding it correctly.

Ports 1-6 Raid compatible.
Ports 7-10 Only AHCI or IDE compatible.

That is what my motherboard manual says, so i'm presuming that means that the first 6 can control everything, where as the last 4 are only good for IDE or AHCI?

Hi, Happy New Year!
"the first 6 can control everything, where as the last 4 are only good for IDE or AHCI?" Yes
"A RAID compatible SATA port on a motherboard would also be AHCI compatible yes?" Yes
Use one of the 6 SATA ports, SATA set to AHCI in BIOS (default).
