what is the raid? and what it is using for?

i will buy a new computer and it will be a server and 5 computers are connected to the server, the server will provide DATA ONLY for office works and nothing else, only word, excel, access document data will be used through this server, so amy i go to Raid or the one HD IDE is enough?

I would use RAID for data security and performance. I would probably go with a RAID controller from Adaptec that can do Level 5, for what you are going to be using it for. Other then that if you are looking for cheap then just run with a motherboard that has a integrated controller.
