I am considering adding more temporary storage space as a raid0 of SSD drives.

What I'm currently considering is 14 drives using 2tb 850 EVO.

What I'm curious about is the performance I can expect.

I would be replacing a raid0 of 8 crucialct960m50 drives.

Regards

2TB 850 EVO
x 14
@$670 each - https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147441

= $10,000 in SATA III SSD drive space.
25+TB.

Before we go any further...what is the actual use case for this?

Not to mention that there's no RAID controller in the world (that we as the 'common consumer' could buy) that could support the throughput capabilities of those drives in RAID 0. He may as well just give me the 10k for all the good it'll do.
