I had multiple failures on this computer. The last one involves a RAID1 setup. 2 identical 1TB drives worked fine with data on them until a month ago, when Bios showed one as non-raid and other as Raid.
I read in previous threads that you could delete then recreate the RAID with the same parameters and it may function.
Since I didn't remember the stripe size, I tried everything from 4k to 128k.
Windows 7 does not show the hard drive in Explorer, however, it shows up in device manager, with the name that I called it at 4TB.
How can I get Windows to see the drive? Have I lost all chance of recovering the data that was on the disks?

Solution
How did you come up with 4TB with two 1TB drives?

turn raid off and set it to ahci mode. Boot win7 and see if either disk lists any of the data that was there before. I have a feeling that changing the stripe size had you format the drives which basically fills the drives with zeros and overwritting your data.

If you do see your data on one of the disk, immediately back it up.
