Raidmax psu any good?

Solution
Raidmax psus are generally considered fire hazards, not even worthy of being called power supplies (with one strange exception that came out last year), so it's definitely a good idea to buy a new one. It's hard to make a specific recommendation without knowing what country you're in (and thus what psus are available and the pricing), but a Corsair CXM series (gray label) or EVGA B2 series rated for 400W or higher should suffice for those parts.

The tier list is also a good place to start when looking for alternatives. A tier 1 or 2 psu is probably more expensive than you need for an entry-level system like that, but tier 3 should be fine.

Among what would be called name brand units they are one of the worst available. Basically you bought a cheapo generic psu painted and polished that turd you'd have a Raidmax.

The only reason i think they are still in business is all the poor suckers who see the cheap price of the polished turd and buy it thinking it's an unimportant part instead of the the vital part it is.

You're being a little mean to turds, which can at least assist farmers in growing crops.
