Raining/Buzzing Noise on headphones

Hi, recently I found my headphone makes some kind of raining or buzzing noise, but really loud. I think it's not a problem with the cord or the headphones, as I've tried different cords on different computers. My computer is a Dell Inspirion 17-i7559 and I use the Audio Technica ATH-M50X headphone. I don't think it's a sound card issue either, as my speakers work correctly, but only my headphones don't. As other threads here stated, I've also tried uninstalling and installing my audio driver, which didn't work.

Surprisingly, the only thing I've done is put the lid down while I was playing a game, and accidentally dropping the headphone. (just one time, and it wouldnt really matter since my headphones work) So I'm really confused why this loud noise is there and how to fix it.

EDIT: Also, I can hear sounds. And a guy told me that it's called feedback? I don't know. It also does not increase with the volume.

Going based on your speakers work, it sounds like the headphone jack is at fault. Is there only one headphone jack on the laptop? If there is a 2nd, try that one. I am guessing it has a loose connection or a short. You can try replacing it, but that may not be easy in a laptop.

Do you think I can fix the problem by using an USB plug? There's no second jack, so I guess I'll have to figure out how to replace it. Just one more question, is it something that you can just Google and do, or there's different solutions for different scenarios?

By the way, thanks.
