im using gigabyte g1 sniper b6 mobo (not type overclock)
intel core i3 4150 3.5ghz cpu..(not type overclock)

Go to the brand maker of the motherboard you have and the model number of the motherboard.

You will find in the specs of the motherboard what type of memory the motherboard uses and what speed types of memory you can run with the motherboard so it works without any problems when you buy memory for it.

Just click on the link bellow to the specs of your motherboard.

That was easy eh ! does it answer your question ?

not really..my questions is my mobo can running a 1866mhz ram instead of 1600mhz.

Didn't you see the RAM support info on the specs page?:

"Support for DDR3 1600/1333 MHz memory modules"

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5173#sp

There is no mention of 1866 modules.

So does that answer your question?

However, it will do no harm to try 1866 modules if you already have some so why bother even asking? - - they will either work or they won't, but don't expect them to run at 1866 MHz.
