Hello,

I am researching about what vendor/model/frequency of RAM is the very best to get for gaming (I dont care about RGB in the RAM modules).

The rig is going to be:
  • cpu: Ryzen 7 3700x (3rd Gen-Zen2-AM4)
  • mobo: Asus ROG Strix X570-E gaming
  • gpu: MSI 1660 Super Gaming X
  • heatsink: Cryorig H7
  • power supply: Corsair RM750x
  • SSD: 2xSamsung 850 EVO, 2.5", 500GB, SATA III
  • case: Corsair 4000d Airflow

The mobo manual (https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/.../E15826_ROG_STRIX_X570-E_GAMING_UM_v2_WEB.pdf) reads the following for 3rd Gen AMD ryzen processors:
- 4 x DIMM, max. 128 GB, DDR4
4400(O.C.)/4266(O.C.)
/4133(O.C.)/4000(O.C.)
/3866(O.C.)/3733(O.C.)
/3600(O.C.)/3466(O.C.)
/3400(O.C.)/3200(O.C.)
/3000(O.C.)/2933(O.C.)
/2800(O.C.)/2666/2400/2133 MHz un-buffered memory

For now I plan to put 2x8GB. Perhaps in the future I will add one additional 2x8GB kit.

From my previous research I have found advices here:
article 1- https://www.gamingcutter.com/ram/best-ram-for-ryzen-7-3700x/
article 2- View: https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/csrxaw/getting_a_rog_strix_x570e_gaming_motherboard_what/

article 3- https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...ix-x570-e-ryzen-9-3900x-overclocking.3645831/

I presume all the RAM models from article 1 have similar latency, correct?

So I presume the best should be a RAM with the the highest frequency possible e.g. Kingston HyperX / Predator / 4266Mhz ?

Or I should get Kingston HyperX / Predator / 3600Mhz model as perhaps I will not get any real performance benefits with higher frequency for my cpu (Ryzen 7 3700x)?

Any other advice about what RAM vendor/model/frequency I should get?

Thanks in advance guys.
