Hi, some advice please. I'm using an MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon motherboard (dual channel - 4 DIMMS) in a new build and have the option of two RAM kits. Both kits are listed on MSI's website as compatible & supported with this board. The cpu is i7 7700K.

1. CORSAIR Vengeance LED - 32GB (16x2) 3000MHz DDR4 CL15 - CMU32GX4M2C3000C15
2. CORSAIR Vengeance LED - 32GB (8x4) 3400MHz DDR4 CL16 - CMU32GX4M4C3400C16R

I've heard that it's preferable to use 2 sticks rather than 4 if you can.
So the question is: 2 sticks of 3000MHz or 4 sticks of 3400MHz which would you do?

Solution
2x16GB if you want to push some CPU OC'ing. 4x8GB if hard-core OC'ing is not a priority and you want better looks (subjective) aesthetically filling up all the slot with all the blingy LEDs. Note that the faster 3400MHz won't have a noticeable performance with the fast 3000MHz RAMs.
