Ram affecting Performace?

I've been using a GTX 1080 i7-4790k for a while and I don't feel like I'm getting the correct amount of FPS. I'm using 8GB of Corshair ram which I believe is at 1333MHZ or lower since I just purchased the cheapest I could find from the beginning.

you can try the userbenchmarks website to see how your system stacks up to others with similar hardware

take results with a grain of salt. run them several times and average the results. for a quick gist of what each thing is doing its a handy tool.

Question from clockthrough : "Ram affecting the Perfomance of my PC?"

I'm running on an i7-4790k and a GTX 1080 and most games I play I don't feel like I'm getting the FPS I should be getting, for example CSGO dips under 300 even with low settings and low res, and Islands of Nyne a new game which is unoptimized but I still am getting less FPS than people with worse Computers.

Ram: DDR3 Corshair Not sure what frequency but I believe it's 1333MHZ or less.

I bought the cheapest I could find.

It says my PC is running outstandingly but the FPS in other games doesn't stand up to what the website says.
