Have two 8 GB (16 gb) Corsair, 2133 MHz RAM memory. The ASUS Rampage IV Black edition is reporting the speed at 1333 MHz. I tried to change speed in BIOS but had to reset BIOS. Why board is not running RAM at 2133 MHz.

What frequency CPU-Z shows?

because you need to select the XMP profile as opposed to SPD

I am not familiar with Z, however the base feq is 3.4 GHz

You need to enable the XMP tuner and accompanying XMP profile or enter the values manually. The modules most likely require a higher voltage to run stable at DDR3-2133

Thank you. My RAM is now running at 2400. I forgot my dual channel RAM is rated at 2400 MHz not 2133. Thanks again.
