Hi everyone! I have an Acer Aspire 6930 laptop (pretty old,I know) and I noticed quite a big issue today : after playing something on it, it always heats up pretty bad and it suffers FPS drops, so I decided to open it up and clean it really well. After that,I decided to not put the external piece of plastic back on so air can flow better (I have a coolpad for it, now the air blows directly on the components). GPU and CPU run at pretty good temperatures (45-50 degrees Celsius in idle), but the HDD and RAM are incredibly hot when I touch them, almost to the point where I have to take my finger off them after a few seconds.
This is incredibly worrying of course, especially because the HDD is brand new (the old 250GB one died, so I got a 500GB WD Blue). The specs are : 4GB of RAM (2x2GB), Core 2 Duo P8400 2,2Ghz and nVidia GeForce 9600m GT. Any suggestions? What should I do?
