[SOLVED] ram and mobo compatability?

I dont know whether this ram can go into my mobo, not sure if i'm looking in the right areas, but i can't seem to find it @ https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-X470-PRO/HelpDesk_QVL/

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600

Mobo: Asus prime x470-pro

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory Model CMK16GX4M2D3000C16

It can. Almost all motherboards in production use DDR4.

Actually, if you are going with 2x8's @ C16, you only have these Corsair part numbers to choose from on their QVL list:

CORSAIR CMK16GX4M2C3000C16, 2x 8GB, 16-18-18-36, 1.35
CORSAIR CMK16GX4M2C3000C16, 2x 8GB, 16-18-18-36, 1.35

In theory, yes, but you do risk their not operating correctly. After all, "the list" is just a statement of what has been tested and found to work. Devices not so noted either have been tested and "failed" or not tested at all.

It would be nice it they published a "fail list" since that would erase a few ambiguities.....well, partially, at any rate.
