Hi, I have a question about the ram and motherboard compatibility. This is what I wasn't aware of when I made a purchase today. I purchased ram http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-lpx-16gb-4x4gb-ddr4-dram-2666mhz-c16-memory-kit-black-cmk16gx4m4a2666c16 and I didnt look into it but it said it supports intel and has compatibility with x99 platforms.
The Motherboard I got is https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B350-F-GAMING/
Do you think the ram will run on this? The CPU im getting is a ryzen 5 1600.
Im just scared the ram wont work and i already have the parts and the ram I purchased was used but is working. So there is no return on the motherboard or ram.

Solution
X99 motherboards are the type used for Intel Extreme Edition CPUs so if it is saying that it is compatible with this it is just for consumer benefit because there are some RAMs which are not compatible with X99 motherboards. So don't worry the RAM you purchased most likely will give you no issues in compatibility with your motherboard.
