Could you please help me pick the right RAM. I have contacted Asus and G-skill and it seams like there not to sure. I want to use 3200mhz but on the Qvl list thay only have 2400mhz. On the motherboard box and website it says 3200mhz + so I'm confused. Please help.

Build specs

1. CPU. AMD RYZEN 7 2700x

2. Gpu's. EVGA 2080 x2

3. Motherbord. ASUS Motherboards ROG CROSSHAIR VI EXTREME

4. SSD. Samsung 970 EVO 250 GB V-NAND M.2

5. RAM. G-SKILL 32Gb 4x8Gb. ?MHz.

6. PSU. Corsair CP-9020094-UK RM1000x 1000 W 80 Plus

Your help would be much appreciated.

Anything listed at the following link is user verfied on Ryzen. And if it works for most people, on a lot lower quality boards, it will work on that high end board. Also, if you stick to modules using Samsung B-dies only, your probability of success pretty much goes up to nearly 100% with current bios versions.

I would have little reservation with using ANY of the modules listed there however as they have all been shown to have success on Ryzen even before the 2nd gen Ryzen chips and boards came out. I'd try to stick to B450 and X470 chipset boards though. They have much better memory compatibility than the early Ryzen chipsets.

That board you have picked out, while high at the time of it's release, is X370, and isn't going to be as good a choice as B450 or X470. Plus, you may need a bios update before that 2700x will run on it.
