My motherboard says it supports 1333 and 1600 speed of RAM. the higher speeds have to be OC'ed. My RAM is 1866, how can I make my motherboard support this?
It's going to be really really tough....let's go into BIOS enable XMP and save exit and you're done ! From the release they had the Hero ready for every stick I through at it, and still do, great mobo! Have mine in sig.
To what purpose? You will not see one shred of performance increase by clocking the RAM higher than 1333 MHZ. If you overclock the RAM it will be less stable for no gain at all.
What mobo and CPU and what's the model number of the DRAM? And contrary to the above, you see performance increases with either 1600 or 1866, in part it all depends on what you do as to how much there might be 😉
