so Im probably going to buy a new motherboard and since I only have 8gb of ram I'm going to buy another 2x4gb (my current mobo has 2 slots) so if I buy a new motherboard does it just boot to windows and everything no problem or do I need to do something?

So it is difficult to determine exactly without hardware specs, but here's what I would say:
1.Make sure that your original 8gb is also 2x4gb sticks
2.Make sure the new motherboard will support the same cpu and 4 RAM slots
3. It might be cheaper to just sell the current RAM and buy 2x8gb sticks

do I need to do the fresh win10 install before I change the motherboard or when it's already installed, if it's before the new motherboard do I need to just leave the install on the part where it's already in desktop or where it's not ready (where it asks for language etc)?
