Ram and vista problems

Hello,
I have a slow computer a friend told me vista doesn't work well on 2G Ram and i should change to windows 7 someone else told me to install more ram - which is best?

2 GB RAM is sufficient for Windows Vista it require minimum 512 MB RAM ......

You should Clean Temp Folder & Remove Unwanted Data which is on C Drive keep free Space.

Hi again,

I am so not a tech head but I have tried removing the data and deleting the temp folders and using restore points - it still runs slow and takes ages to start up and close.... my other computer is older, less expensive and is an xp and runs a lot faster.
