Hello,

I have the G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR4 3600 . RAM speed after I turn on XMP profile still runs at 2666Mhz. This is when I leave the System Memory Multiplier at auto. However when I do set the multiplier to 32 it does run at 3200Mhz but anymore than that and I'm stuck on a black screen with fans running and lights on.

Mobo is a B550M Aorus Elite AX V2 with a 5800X3D. BIOS does indicate that the RAM is indeed DDR4-3600

How can I get it to run the advertised speed of 3600Mhz?

Is that not the same as XMP? And what do you mean by option? like selecting different profiles? Because it only says profile 1 or disabled.

I'm sorry I'm not very savvy and what little I know comes from googling and watching Videos.

Looks like you don't have that option, I'm seeing:
Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) (Note 2)
Allows the BIOS to read the SPD data on XMP memory module(s) to enhance memory performance when
enabled.
Disabled Disables this function. (Default)
Profile1 Uses Profile 1 settings.
Profile2 (Note 2) Uses Profile 2 settings.

I'd pick profile 1 and see what options become available in:
High Frequency Support (Note 2)
Allows you to select the compatibility level for high-frequency memory. This item is configurable only when
Extreme Memory Profile (X.M.P.) is set to Profile1 or Profile2. (Default: Auto)

I've selected XMP profile 1 and in bios it does read the RAM at 36. But when I start windows and check there it still runs at 2666Mhz. I've tried Manually setting the System Memory Multiplier and it does work to a certain point up to 32 giving me 3200Mhz when I start windows. If I set it anymore higher than 32 the speed goes back to 2666Mhz.

doesn't seem to do anything, still stuck at 2666Mhz, looks like I'll just have to run this at 3200Mhz. I might have to test this with a different rig from a friend or something. Might be the Sticks themselves.
