[SOLVED] Ram at 1600 mhz

I have ADATA XPG GAMMIX D10 8GB DDR4 3000MHz , but only 1600 enabled.

Speccy doesnt recognise it

Enable XMP/D.O.C.P. in the BIOS.

just did it and it dropped to 1500 mhz

Speccy shows the actual frequency your ram is running which was 1600Mhz before you changed it to use XMP/DOCP. DDR=Double Data Rate, so 3200 is 1600Mhz and 3000 is 1500Mhz. Do you have 1x8GB or 2x4GB for memory modules?
