RAM at 50% from Google Chrome?

My Toshiba laptop has been bluescreening more than usual and the fans and RAM have been really taxed lately and I do not know why. When I am only using Google Chrome, my 4gb RAM is at 50% capacity and my fans are running at almost full speed. My computer has also been crashing (bluescreening) a lot more than it used to, crashing around once a week as opposed to never crashing like before. I have run Malewarebytes and it came up with nothing. What should I do?

When you have chrome open can you take a screenshot of task manager application tab and processes tab? Post it here so we can check if there is something on in the background.

Run Memtest. To be honest, 50% usage with Chrome (and a couple full sized cluttery webpages open in it) on 4GB memory seems quite normal to me. Was it much lesser before?

clean the fans of your laptop if you have a henry or any vaccum with a nossile then vaccum the vents of the laptop the main one is the one where the heat comes out from (DO NOT USE COMPRESSED AIR COULD BREAK YOUR FAN) ive used the trick 2 years it dont break with a henry just keep a little distence to be on the safe side then check the ram usage if its still high check if you have alot running in the backround like random searchbars etc , if any of that dont work then check if you can fit more ram in your laptop

or even replace the ram it may be faulty

I suggest just backing up your important data and do a format for a clean Windows install.

If you do that be sure to first prepare the required drivers and record your Windows license so you can reactivate it.

I will try this. Thanks. I am not putting this as the solution yet because I would like a few more answers yet.
