Hello. I have a question. I got some Corsair Vengence DDR4 RAM @3000mhz and tried putting it into my computer yesterday. But for whatever reason it was making these beeping sounds when I turned the computer on. It didn't show display anything on my monitor. Just the beeping sounds. Igoogled it and it said it could be fault RAM. So I got a replacement today. I just put it into the tower and the exact same thing happened. My old ram works fine. Which is Hyper X Fury @2400mhz. Can anyone tell me I keep having this problem with TWO sets of new RAM. Do I need to change something in the computer or what? Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I have tried them in multiple slots on the mother board. And also tried one at a time but the peeping still occurs.

My motherboard is an Asus X99-S

I'm not sure if the voltage is the same? I could look into it. But I'm assuming the new RAM has a higher voltage as it's a higher MHz?

But it gives me 3 beeps. One is a slight longer beep, then 2 beeps within quick succession.

I don't know what details you want from the motherboard?

Edit: With a little look it seems the Vengence is a 1.35v RAM. And the Hyper X is a 1.2v RAM. Also the Hyper X is CL15(?) and the Vengence is CL17(?)

ram comes in 1.3 and 1.5 volts, not faster uses more, no that doesn't apply

remove all the old sticks and put only new ones and try again, be sure to set it properly in the slot

a quick searhc for 3 and then 2 beeps tells me that you inserted the modules wrong

I'll try again. I had put them in yesterday in different slots. All the same. And when I put the old RAM in I did it the same that time. But those worked. I'll give it another go and see what happens.

Edit: Still getting the same problem. They're definitely seated properly. My motherboard has "53" pop up when it's on. Not sure if that helps.

reset bios or enter in bios and force a 2133mhz seed for all ram modules, but the beep codes if you say you already moved sticks form the slots they were could mean that mainboard will not work with that brand and that speed at all

you would need to get ddr4 2400mhz only then
