I recently upgrade my GPU to 3070
at first i want to try this on my old pc for fun
MotherBoard= Asus H61 Plus [ 4 pin ATX CPU connector]
CPU= i3 3220
RAM =12GB DDR3
PSU= GigaByte 500watts
it used to be run with GTX960 properly
i check Needed Power for this new 3070 on [ https://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator ]
[i put picture below]
it says my pc use 450 watts and need 500 watt PSU
so i install 3070 with no doubt

PC work 2 days correctly and without any problem
i run game and watch movie with it

but at day 3 after i shutdown windows pc did not start to work again
[Fans are ON/MotherBoard LED is on/GPU power LED is on]
but ther is no POST beep
pc did not detect gpu
and the screen still on black
there is no Bios setting
after i plug out ram sticks pc start to beeping
i realized rams are broken
both of them at same time
so i changed them
but new rams broke after couple of hours
again ram in both slots at same time

then i buy new 750 watt PSU with 80 plus platinum standard
and also new rams

then i start pc
run 30 minuts of furmark
play 4k movie
run game

pc works well for 2 days again
and after i shutdown windows in day 3
i faced with same problem
but this time
only 1 of the rams is dead the 2nd one is still working

where is the problem?
is there problem with my motherboard ? or new GPU is killing the RAMs?

You made a tremendous mistake dropping a GPU of that caliber on a platform as old as that. I apologize but nothing makes sense when going with that GPU for that motherboard/platform.

To entertain your thread/question, what is the model of the PSU and how old is the PSU in your build?

What is the make and model of the other PSU?
