Hi everyone,

First this is the motherboard specification:

Asus M4N68T-M , DDR3
Memory: Dual-channel, 2x 240 pin DIMM slots support máximum 8GB unbuffered ECC and non-ECC DDR3 1800 (O.C.) / 1600 (O.C.) / 1333 / 1066 MHz.
Chipset: Geforce 7025 / nForce 630a
CPU: AMD Soket AM3 for AMD Phenom II. AMD Cool n Quiet. AMD 64 architecture enables simultaneous 32 and 64 bits
Front side bus: 2000 / 1600 MT/s HyperTransport 1.0 interface

I was trying to increase the RAM capability to a higher value, I install two memories, 4GB 1600 MHz PC3-12800. The PC starts but it freezes, the mouse doesn't respond, sometimes appears a blue screen. I retired one memory and then it Works well.
I am on win 10, but with win 7 was the same issues.

The question is how can I do to work with two memories?, something about BIOS setting or an update, or ?

Thank!
Juan

Solution
The 925 prob will have trouble with 1600, even with an OC, the 965 was the first AMD CPU that could reliably run 1600 sticks, the 925 was better off with 1066/1333 sticks

It is important that both ram sticks are the same make and model. If they are not, the problem you are having can happen.

You can also check the system with memtest. All you need is a flash drive. You can download memtest from my dropbox here https://www.dropbox.com/s/m8x34ot6ed4xz35/Memtest86%2B%20USB%20Installer.exe?dl=0

It installs itself on a flashdrive. Boot to the flashdrive and it will start running. Check each stick of ram individually and then together. You can find out more by googling memtest86.

What DRAM, chances are it's a model that uses high density memory ICs, (chips) as do most all current models of DRAM which isn't compatible with older mobos, and this dates back to around 2010 I think. Something like the GSkill NT series of DRAM has the low density ICs. Also what CPU (determines data rates you can run)?

Tnk firefoxx04, Both RAM are the same vendor. I think the problem is not the memories because I was trying with several RAM, always the same vendor. Now I got two new RAM, just I bought them, so I think it does not the RAM. Another thought ?

Tnk Tradesman1, I think it is the most probably and it is what I am trying to fix :) asking to experts in hardware. The CPU specification that Everest gives is: QuadCore AMD Phenom II X4 925, 2900 MHz (14 x 207)
