RAM causes beeping and no boot

I have 2gb (2 1gb's) DDR2

Started beeping and I took 1 dimm (is it called a dimm?) and it booted up normally and my PC is real slow
now.

Anyway to fix the dimm ive heard you clean it or something

You can check to see if the memory slot needs cleaning. Most likely you have a bad stick of RAM. To find out, you can download and run Memtest86.
