Ram Clock Speeds

I bought a 2 x 8 GB sticks of Trident Z RGB Ddr4 3000 Mhz ram, It originally was running at sock speeds of 2300mhz, I then switched it to the XMP PRofiule and was able to change it to 3000 mhz, my question is, can I run it at a higher clock speed? Do I need to change anything like the voltages or anything like that like you would with a CPU? Or do i just set it to the clock speed that I want and the motherboard will do the rest for me? Is it safe to run my RAM higher than 3000 mhz?

It certainly has the potential to.

You'd boost the clocks and, if required, loosen timings &/or add a touch more voltage.

Realistically though, outside of a few select workloads, "faster" memory >3000MHz isn't likely to yield any noticeable gains.
