It is, but make sure your RAM is fast enough for the Ryzen processor. Minimum of 3000 MHz speed, 3200 MHz is better, sweet spot is apparently 3733 MHz but I doubt older RAM is capable of that speed. If it's 3200 MHz, you are good to go. For 3000 MHz you should try to overclock it. Anyway, DDR4 RAM is indeed compatible with the 3600.
See if you can hit 3000 MHz on it, my 2666 MHz RAM runs fine at 3000 MHz, but your mileage may vary. Still, worth a shot, maybe you can get by with 3000 MHz without too much performance loss.damn it, my ram speed is 2666Mhz :/ so its a "no go"?
Sounds like a plan .nvm i think imma get a new 3200mhz ram, besides my ram is still fresh and never got overclocked ever. I think it still worth around 90$ Thanks for the info man
