Question Ram Compatablity?

Is the Ram compatible between a dell optiplex 790 and a optiplex GX620 both in small form factor?

One runs on DDR2 and the other runs off of DDR3. You can't mix and match on either platform. FYI, you should pick a ram kit as opposed to mixing and matching rams on a prebuilt.

Thank you so much for your reply. While I have bought RAM for laptops in the back and installed them myself. I have never used RAM from another computer and did not want to risk do something that would harm the computer. In my place of work the computer (Dell 790) only has 4 GB of RAM and the GX620 is not being used, but I wanted to check first.
